Welcome to the Kenilworth Adopt-A-Street group!

Hi Neighbors!!
We need to make sure every street in our neighborhood is adopted. This means as you do your daily, weekly, or monthly walks that you will pick up the litter on the roads. This is a perfect way to help keep Kenilworth clean. It is such a small effort but it pays huge dividends. It tells everyone who comes to our oasis inside the beltway of Asheville that we really care our our neighborhood. It also tells those who are not so nice that it is not ok to trash our neighborhood and that we will keep it clean.
You can team up with folks on your street, or just pick a buddy and take on the responsibility of keeping your street clean. You can leave a note hear if you would like to adopt a street and I will get the sign up sheet to you. When you adopt a street Quality Forward will post a sign on that street and you can choose the wording for the sign. Thanks for helping!!!

Hi everyone,
I spoke with Allison at Greenworks and she provided a list of roads that have been adopted. This is a good start but we need more volunteers to help keep our streets clean and send the right signals to the criminal element that sees a lack of pride in our neighborhood as a sign that we don't care. Nothing could be further from the truth and I hope you all will consider adopting the street you live on or one that is part of your regular walking route. There is a discussion in this group "How to Sign up" that you use to get started. Please don't hesitate to ask me if you need help or have questions. Here are the currently adopted streets:

Keebler St.
Thurland Ave.
Kenilworth Rd. from Diggs-Chateau Pl. to Kenilworth Dr
Caledonia Rd. from Forest Hill Dr. to Swannanoa River Rd.
Caledonia Rd. from Biltmore Ave. to Forest Hill Dr.
Forest Hill Dr.

Also please let me know if you sign up for a street. I will keep a list and hopefully we can get all the streets adopted. Thanks for your help!
